The Need For Jesus
Why? Because human beings are born with an empty space in their hearts and no matter what people try to fill it with, whether it be drugs, alcohol, sexual immorality, criminal acts, lust for money or anything else that people try to patch it up with, there's only one thing that can make a heart whole, and that's with a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, who is My Lord and My God.
If you want to see lives changed for the good, see someone who's been born again, truly saved by the blood Jesus shedded on the cross. I can testify in my own life(I'll post my testimony at a later date) how it changed. Being saved doesn't mean you're instantly unable to do no wrongs. Your life is changed, but it's also a growing process as God refines the impurities in your life out as you grow in spiritual muturity. Before I was saved, I lived a life where the goals were to make money, have sex with as many women as I could, drink all I wanted, lie as a defense for any trouble or crimes I caused, do whatever drugs I wanted, with plenty more other things too long to list. I thought that was the "good" life. It didn't even come close.
The good life is a life over the last 7 years that has been slowly refined of those impurities, where my desire for drinking alcohol went away, the same for the drugs and the sexual immorality, and the desires to do the wrong things. Does that mean I don't sin? No, as I sin everyday. But the desire to sin has lessen as the Holy Spirit empowers us to resist sinning. Do I resist sins all the time? No chance. But being empowered to CHOOSE not to sin is an awesome feeling. I'm a work in progress and I'll continue to be refined until I pass from this life on earth to the eternal life that's in heaven. When the role is called up yonder, I'll be there, and that's a peaceful assurance I have being saved in Jesus Christ.
"I stand on the absolute truth, the Word of God, and leave the relative truth to worldly people."
